Benue State Community Volunteer Guard, (BSCVG),at the weekend apprehended a 25 year old Jeremiah Gbogo, found in possession of a locally made baretta pistol at a wake in Fiidi Council Ward in Makurdi Local Government Area of the state.
This is just as two (2) other suspects who killed their victim were also arrested at Benue links motor park while attempting to flee Makurdi town.
Special Adviser on Security and Internal Affairs Chief Joseph Har said it took the intervention of several security agencies including the Benue community volunteer Guard, Operation Whirl Stroke, Police, to rescue the victims from mob action, adding that the suspects have also been handed over to the police, Har said
The arrest was made barely 24 hours after the Secueiry Adviser, embarked on a sensitization rally across major streets and flashpoints of Makurdi metropolis against cult- related activities, violence and marching ground; forceful extortion of developers and shop owners.
