Customs hands over seized illicit products to NAFDAC

The Federal Operating Unit (FOU) Custom Zone B Kaduna, has handed over Seized illicit products worth N19.2m to the National Agency for Food,  Drugs Administration Control (NAFDAC

Customs Comptroller, A.B. Hamisu disclosed this while handing over the drugs at his office in Kaduna yesterday.

According to him, the seized drugs include 393,900 Pregabalin Capsules, 80 bottles of codeine and others.

The Comptroller said he was excited by the seizure, because of the dangers such items pose to the health of the unsuspecting public.

“We are handing over unregistered pharmaceutical products to NAFDAC.

“NAFDAC cannot be everywhere and Customs cannot be everywhere. We know the importance NAFDAC plays in ensuring the safety of food and drugs.”
