The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has put the number of Nigerians so far registered under the ongoing continuous voter’s registration, CVR, at 5,173,335.
The figure was for those registered as at 7am, Money 24th Jan 2022.
A breakdown of the fresh registrants showed that completed male registration was 1,344,813, while female registration stands at 1,320,608.
The number of people living with disability, who have completed registration within the period under review was 24,723.
Completed online and physical registration stand at 2,665,421.
According to a current update provided in a statement by the Chief Press Secretary to the INEC Chairman, Mr Rotimi Oyekanmi, “Fresh Registrants: 5,173,335.
“Completed Online and Physical Registration: 2,665,421
Completed Registration: Male: 1,344,813
Female: 1,320,608. PWD:24,723
“Type: Online – 1,092,742. Physical – 1,572,679
“Youth (18- 34): 1,854,371”, the update showed.
