Czech FA dismiss Ronaldo’s goal record in favour of Josef Bican

Date:

The Football Association of the Czech Republic has said that Cristian Ronaldo needs 62 more goals before he is accepted as the highest goal scorer in history.
As reported on Wednesday, Ronaldo was celebrated as football’s greatest ever goalscorer with a goal in Juventus’ 2-0 win over Napoli on Wednesday night.
The strike was marked as a great moment in the history of football as Ronaldo hit 760 goals.
But the Czech have needed a few hours to have a say on the celebrations, saying Bican’s goals are actually 821, thus Ronaldo needs 62 more goals to become the record holder.
“The History and Statistics committee of the Czech FA counted all the goals scored by the legendary Josef Bican and we can declare he scored 821 goals in official matches,” the FA said.
