Former medical student of the University of Ibadan College of Medicine, Dr. Oluwole Adeoye Daini has urged federal government to direct University of Ibadan and its College of Medicine to obey concept of withdrawal agreed upon at Court of Appeal in Abuja.
The certified true copies of the documents in the August 28, 2023 correspondence that was sent to Mr. President/Visitor to UI and other entities through the Vice Chancellor of University of Ibadan and the Provost College of Medicine University of Ibadan, said the decriminalization and/or extrication of the Federal Government of Nigeria, the Attorney General of the Federation, Federal Ministry of Education, National Universities Commission, Court of Appeal and the Federal High Court, said the contents unanimously signed, stamped and returned withdrawal by consent decision obtained from the Abuja division of the Court of Appeal.
Disclosing this yesterday in Abuja at world press conference, Daini reiterated that “any form of actions and/or inactions by any persons/entities, including but not limited to all the criminal trespass suspects in the forfeited properties in University of Ibadan and its College of Medicine, aimed at preventing the aforestated decriminalization/extrications by preventing the implementation of the said Withdrawal By Consent Process, in consonance with the notice of implementation dated 02/11/2021.”
The Court of Appeal in Abuja had earlier indicted University of Ibadan and its College of Medicine and ruled in favor of Daini as he urged the federal government to direct the school to obey ruling to get justice.
