The village Head of Dakwa community in Bwari Area council of the FCT, Dr Alhassan Musa Babachikuri, has appealed to the people to be security conscious at their various communities in the area.

He also urged the residents to report suspicious movement of the strange persons to the security agents, saying that security is everybody business.

Babachikuri, who made this appeal in an interview with Peoples Daily, during a security meeting with the tribal chiefs in Dakwa, called on the chiefs to gear towards effecting monitoring their subjects in the community.

He said that his leadership would continue to partner with the security agents into checkmate the activities by the criminals at all times.

He further pointed out that his leadership would not hesitate to carry the Muslim and Christian leaders along for the sake of peaceful co-existence in the area, while urging them to continue to preach peace to their followers always.

He advised the youths to live in peace with one another irrespective of their religious differences, calling on them to shun anti-social vices in the area.

The traditional ruler, however, appealed to the chairman of the area council, Hon. Peter Yohanna Ushafa to support the vigilante corps operating in the community financially to enable them to carry out their duties diligently.

On his part, the Chief of Hausas in the area, Alhaji Khalid Abubakar, urged the government of Bwari Area Council, to give priority attention to the security of the people in the entire area.

He pleaded with chairman to provide basic amenities such as potable drinking water and electricity supply for the people to boost socio – economic development of the area.

He further urged the chairman to repair the dilapidated roads in the community to enable the motorists to ply the roads without any obstacle.

He said that his leadership would continue to support and co-operate with the administration of the council to move the Dakwa community forward.

He also pointed out that his leadership would take the youths a long in the interest of peace to reign in the community, while advising them to go to schools to acquire knowledge that would be useful t them in the future.
