The immediate past Minister of Housing and Urban Development, Ahmed Dangiwa , has urged all stakeholders in the housing sector to sustain the spirit of collaboration and innovation.
Dagiwa stated this during the official handing over ceremony Thursday in Abuja , following his resignation.
He handed over the affairs of the ministry to the Minister of State, Yusuf Abduliah Ata .
He appreciated president Bola Tinubu for the confidence placed in him to serve as Minister.
He said the opportunity given him has helped him to contribute to the Renewed Hope Agenda, particularly in advancing access to affordable housing and strengthening urban development, which he said remains one of the greatest honours of his public service journey.
Dangiwa urged staff and stakeholders to support the incoming leadership and sustain the reform momentum.
He reiterated that achieving affordable housing is possible, saying it requires sustained collaboration across government and private sector.
Also speaking , Minister of State, Yusuf Abduliah Ata appreciated the outgoing minister for his visionary leadership, impact and professionalism.
According to the state minister, Dangiwa introduced strategic policies and initiatives under the Renewed Hope Agenda.
Earlier, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Dr. Shuaib Belgore, said the immediate past minister offered capable leadership by bringing new initiatives and reorganizing the housing sector.
