Dankwambo earmarks N1.3bn to boost trade and agriculture in Gombe

Gombe state governor Alhaji Ibrahim Hassan Dankwambo has earmark the sum of N1.3 billion in order to boost the activities of Trade and Agriculture in the state.
The governor was represented by the commissioner of finance, Alhaji Hassan Muhammadu yesterday in Gombe during a signing of memorandum of understanding between Jaiz Bank and Gombe state government.
He said that the money approved by the government was aimed at assisting traders and farmers on loan to enable them have sense of belonging in the society.
He said the donation was part of the continuation of Talba Empowerment scheme where governor Dankwambo strategized the plan to ensure that every citizen benefit from the dividend of democracy that people had been enjoying.
According to him, the signing of the memorandum of understanding between the state government and Jaiz Bank is to showcase the need of traders and farmers in the state to open an account with the bank that would enable them to collect loan in order to transform their businesses.
Speaking further, the commissioner emphasized that the trade intervention fund earmark by the governor, N750 million would be given to traders on loan while 11 local government areas would get
N250 million each, adding that the administration of governor Dankwambo has touch the lives of common man in the state.
Also speaking at the event, the Group Head Cooperate, Jaiz Bank, Alhaji Alhassan Abdulkarim said arrangement has been put in place to ensure that customers are well entertain in the bank, noting that the bank had map out strategy plan to render good services to its clients.
He thanked governor Ibrahim Hassan Dankwambo for the gesture and urged traders and farmers to as a matter of urgency to open an account with the bank for effective delivery.
