Dankwambo presents N104.9bn 2018 budget to assembly

Gombe state governor, Alhaji Ibrahim Hassan Dankwambo has presented 2018 budget of One Hundred and Four Billion, Nine Hundred and Two Million, Four Hundred and Seventy-Two Thousand, Three Hundred and Five Naira only to Gombe state House of Assembly.
Performing the function at the Assembly complex, Dankwambo said the proposal of the 2018 budget was made up of Fifty-one billion, nine hundred and eighty-seven million, six hundred and two thousand, one hundred and seventy- three naira only as recurrent expenditure while Fifty-two billion, nine hundred and thirty-four million, eight hundred and seventy thousand one hundred and thirty-two naira as capital expenditure.
He assure government effort in transforming the education sector which according to him his administration will do everything possible to upgrade the infrastructure of the education sector as well as the provision of learning meterials.
While emphasizing the need, the governor said government will continue to enhance the health and Agriculture sectors accordingly to support citizens.
According to him, government cannot achieve good intention without applying budget discipline and called on accounting officers to ensure that budget provision should be use appropriately.
He enjoined citizens not to relent on be security conscious and promise to provide enabling environment for peace and stability for people in the state.
