Dankwambo speaks on threat against PDP in 2019

Gombe State governor, Ibrahim Dankwambo has hinted on the potential threat that can rob the party victory ahead of 2019 general elections.
The Peoples Democratic party (PDP) Presidential aspirant disclosed this on the sidelines of a meeting with Edo State delegates of the party on Tuesday in Benin City.
He urged the leadership of his party to forsake bad practices and develop a template to guide members of the party in electing aspirants in various positions ahead of the primaries.
According to him, “A template should be develop that will serve as a guide to our members to be able to choose the person that we will present as an alternative to Nigerians.
“We should forsake bad practices that are there in selecting people to the position of leadership positions.
“We should ensure fairness, equity and justice and when that is complied with any of the aspirants that is involved in this race will follow the wish of the party”, he said.
The PDP aspirant had told his party delegates in Edo State at the party Secretariat in Benin City that his ambition is born-out of the need to remodel the Nigerian society by making poverty history.
He also promised to support the winner of the presidential primaries, adding that he is not desperate to be president of Nigeria.
Responding, Edo State PDP Chairman, Dan Orbih, described Ibrahim Dankwambo as a professional and qualified politician, assuring that the choice of the 2019 PDP Candidate will not disappoint Nigerians.
