Kaduna Central Senatorial Aspirant, Hon. Usman Ibrahim has lauded the relentless effort of President Muhammadu Buhari for securing the release of the female students abducted from their school in Dapchi, Yobe State few weeks ago.
In a statement made available to newsmen in Kaduna Hon. Ibrahim stated that: “the President’s efforts to ensure that the girls were freed from captivity is commendable.
“The released of the Dapchi girls is an indication that the President been the Commander in Cheif of the Armed Forces is always capable of handling the security situation of the country.
He, however, called for proactive steps to be taken to forestall a reoccurrence of the incident by security agencies.
In his statement, he condemned the mass abduction of the innocent Dapchi School Girls, saying that the trend of mass abduction must change.
He opined that there is the need for synergy among the security agencies especially on issues relating to intelligence gathering in order to prevent future occurence.
While commiserating with the parents and the released girls, he says: “Our prayer is that such never happened again. Security is a collective responsibility of all and sundry by providing necessary information to the security agencies for proper action to be taken.
