Ambassador-at-large, and former National chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party ( PDP), Alhaji Bamanga Tukur, yesterday warned that further delay in tackling the menace of bombings and terrorism in the country could turn Nigeria inti a at theatre.

Tukur who lamented the wave of bombings in the country also warned those he described as sponsors of terrorism to begin to retrace steps from the act with immediate effects, as he predicts doom for masterminds of the plots to destabilise Nigeria.

He condemned the use of teenage girls in the agenda by terrorists to fester their sinister plots of imposing a regime of terror on Nigeria.

The PDP boss said he was deeply troubled that the bomb explosions reported in Kano on Monday were caused by teenage girls, who, he lamented were brainwashed into joining the evil plot of killing innocent people in the most barbaric manner never witnessed in any clime.

He equally condemned the killing of innocent citizens in Borno and Adamawa states by insurgents who, according to him, had failed to lay bare the principles behind their actions in the past five years.

The Ambassador-at-large expressed dismay on the blame game by stakeholders on the activities of insurgents in the country.

According to him, no nation wins a war when its citizens are divided as he called for a general building of consensus among the Nigerian leaders irrespective of political party affiliations in the battle to contain terrorism in the country.

He also asked Nigerians to stop abusing and denigrating the person of President Goodluck Jonathan, who he said needed assistance in his battle to save the corporate entity of Nigeria in the face of very daunting challenges confronting the country.

Tukur, who just returned to Nigeria from Saudi Arabia on Umra, urged the government of President Goodluck Jonathan not to give up in the fight against insurgents. Together we shall overcome.

He lauded efforts by the Nigerian Military so far in combating the menace of insurgency, stating that but for the confrontation the soldiers had had so far with members of Boko Haram, Nigeria would have become a war theater.
