Delta records 1,518 recoveries out of 1,701 Covid-19 cases

Delta state has recorded a total of 1,701 cases of Covid-19 discease with 1,518 cases discharged, 142 active cases while a total of 46 persons were claimed as casualties.
The state Commissioner for Information Mr Charles Aniagwu who confirmed this to our Correspondent in Asaba, noted that the figure kept changing from time to time based on several factors, such as success in contact tracing and testing, adding that the state government was on course in the fight at flattening the curve on Covid-19 Pandemic disease.
According to the Commissioner, government had established several treatment centers and was about completing a second testing center at the Delta State University Teaching Hospital Oghara, disclosing that the state government was not oblivious of the need to thank God for its mercies, especially in the critical periods of Covid-19 pandemic disease.
Aniagwu said that the state government had done well in delivering the dividends of democracy to the citizenry, especially in the area of infrastructure, health, education, job wealth creation and agriculture.
He called on residents of the state to continue to adhere to the Covid-19 protocols, adding that contact tracing was still on in the state.
