The Presiding Pastor of the Steward of Christ Family Worship Centre, Minna, Niger State, Apostle Jonathan Yohanna, has emphasized the transformative power of God’s grace, highlighting its relevance to Nigerian Christians facing various challenges.
Speaking during a programme titled
“Grace for Grace” hosted by Apostle Yakubu Yusuf and Pastor Ruth Yakubu Yusuf of House of Purpose Ministry U/Sunday in Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State, Apostle Jonathan Yohanna drew inspiration from 1st Peter 5:10, which says, “But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.”
He explained that the Greek word for “grace” is “charis,” meaning “favor, kindness, or gift,” and is used over 150 times in the New Testament, underscoring its importance in the life of a believer.
The apostle outlined the dimensions of grace, including justification, regeneration, empowerment, and glorification, citing Romans 5:15-17, 2 Corinthians 5:17, Ephesians 1:15-21, and Romans 8:30.
He emphasized that these dimensions can provide a foundation of strength and resilience for Nigerian Christians facing persecution, hardship, and uncertainty.
According to him, The Dimensions of Grace can help Nigerian Christians overcome challenges such as poverty, corruption, and insecurity.
“When we walk in the dimensions of grace, we are empowered to make a positive impact in our communities and to be agents of change,” he added
“Empowerment, in particular, can equip believers with the spiritual resources needed to overcome challenges and positively impact their communities,” Apostle Yohanna said, citing Philippians 4:13, “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.”
Apostle Yohanna urged believers to walk in the dimensions of grace, trusting in the power of God to transform their lives.
He cited Hebrews 12:1-2, which says, “Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.”
The program attracted several church leaders and community members who were blessed by the message.
Apostle Yakubu Yusuf expressed gratitude to Apostle Yohanna for sharing God’s word, saying, “The Dimensions of Grace have shown us that we can walk in confidence and hope, trusting in the power of God to transform our lives.”
He added, “As Nigerian Christians, we face many challenges, but the Dimensions of Grace remind us that we are not alone. God is with us, and His grace is sufficient for us.”
The event concluded with prayers and a call to action, urging believers to apply the dimensions of grace in their lives and share the message with others.
As Nigerian Christians navigate life’s complexities, the Dimensions of Grace offer a beacon of hope, promising a deeper sense of purpose and fulfillment in their walk with God.
The program was attended by Christians from various denominations, who expressed their appreciation for the message. “The Dimensions of Grace have helped me to understand God’s plan for my life,” said Sister Sarah, a member of the House of Purpose Ministry. “I am encouraged to walk in faith and trust in God’s goodness.”
As Nigerian Christians continue to face various challenges, the Dimensions of Grace remain a powerful reminder of God’s love and grace.
By walking in the dimensions of grace, believers can experience the immense power of God’s glory and become agents of change in their spheres of influence, reflecting the glory in their lives, as promised in 2 Corinthians 3:18.
“But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.”
