The Nigeria Volleyball Federation (NVBF) has officially unveiled two of the nation’s top women’s clubs, Nigeria Customs Service Female Volleyball Team and Vipers & Partners Female Volleyball Team as Nigeria’s representatives at the upcoming Africa Women’s Club Volleyball Championship in Egypt.
Both teams are billed to depart the country this weekend, fully equipped and motivated to face Africa’s elite under the banner of the Confederation of African Volleyball.
This development marks another milestone in Nigeria’s growing reputation on the continental volleyball scene, as the country continues to assert its competitiveness and rising influence in the sport.
Nigeria Customs, known for their structure, and consistency, head into the championship with a balanced squad rich in experience and tactical depth. Widely regarded as one of the most formidable teams in the country, they are strongly tipped to make a significant impact at the tournament.
On the other hand, Vipers & Partners represent the new wave of Nigerian volleyball excellence.
Their rapid rise reflects the increasing impact of grassroots development and private-sector investment in the sport. Securing a spot at this prestigious championship highlights both their ambition and the expanding talent base within Nigeria.
Speaking ahead of the teams’ departure, NVBF President, Engr. Musa Nimrod, expressed confidence in their readiness:
