Ex beauty queen, Mrs. Helen Prest- Ajayi has berated some cross section of Nigerians who continuously lampoon President Goodluck Jonathan for what she called Nigeria’s accumulated woes.

She made the assertions at the Lagos state Secretariat of the Unity Party of Nigeria (UPN) during the inauguration/launching of the women’s wing of United Niger Delta Forum (UNIDEF), a non-political, social- cultural group at the weekend in Lagos, a body she incidentally is the Patron.

Speaking further, she said she will on continuous basis at different forum remind Nigerians who hold such opinion about Mr. President that they should know that he inherited an already bastardized structure that will take a whole lot of assiduous efforts within a long period to fix.

“How can Nigerians so soon forget that the military for close to thirty –eight years ran this country in an unpleasant way, some of their misdemeanor while they held sway is fallouts of what the present administration is saddled with?” she noted.

Expatiating further, she said she is yet to come to terms that after several years that the country gained its independence from colonial rule, most Nigerians contributions towards the growth and progress of the country, are still tailored along religious, ethnic divide.

She stressed that is rather unfortunate that Nigerians see themselves as persons from the South and North not as Nigerians and as such think along those divide, which has further alienated us in the efforts to grow the country

In her contribution, the Chief launcher Mrs. Justina Oguta  was of the opinion that the President,  whom she said is a good man, has really not be allowed to unfold his potential as a pragmatic leader in a situation of security challenges presently unleashed by the mindless vampires called Boko Haram.

She stressed that the level of distraction as recorded by these assault, have drawn the administration back because the energies  and resources they would have used on embarking and completed masses- oriented projects desired by Nigerians are sadly channeled in the fight to stem the rising security challenge.

The Founding President of the group Mr. Ese Gabriel reveal that the group is in the vanguard of good governance and as such are currently mobilizing and sensitizing their members at home and in the Diaspora. This he said is geared towards making sure that President is re- elected come 2015.
