DPC enjoined Christians to imbibe the Lord Jesus Christ’s virtues of love, peace, compassion, tolerance and sacrificial life that pointed humanity to God. The death and resurrection of Jesus Christ which Easter symbolizes, the release goes on is the foundation, pillar and cornerstone of the Christian doctrine, adding that Jesus is therefore the reason for the season. The party calls that the occasion is used to renew our passion and relationship with Christ our saviour.
The party urged Christians, indeed, Nigerians to use the opportunity of the Easter celebrations to pray for peace, love, unity and progress of the nation, even as it added that Nigeria is at the crossroads and needs divine intervention to save it from its perilous course of clueless leadership, political upheavals, economic stagnation, social dislocation, insecurity, religious tension and tribalism.
The party therefore called on all eligible voters to ensure they vote for credible, reliable, responsible and patriotic candidates in all elective positions and be certain that their votes are counted and count in the results.
