DPR cautions marketers against selling above pump price

The Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR) in Gombe state yesterday carried out an inspection to ensure that all filling stations across the state not sell petroleum products above pump price.
Head of Operation, DPR in the state, Mr, Amos Bernard made this known to journalists while conducting an inspection to see for himself whether filling stations are operating exactly the way they were ordered to sell the product.
He told journalists that DPR found some filling stations wanting adding that as soon as issue of supply of petroleum products is over filling stations who are wanting will face the wrap of the law.
According to him, leadership of DPR will not fold its hands and allow filling stations to sell above pump price which he said federal government earlier has directed all filling stations to sell its products at N145.00 per litre He advice managers operating within the filling stations to take precaution of selling above the price and that those carrying jerry-can should not be entertain.
While inspecting the products head of operations however noted that they will do everything possible to ensure that those with offenses will be prosecuted.
He said they are working tirelessly to monitor filling stations that operates without following rules and regulations of the federal government.
