The Department of Petroleum Resource (DPR) in Kebbi State ordered over seven filling stations in Birnin Kebbi, to reverse their prices from N175 to the N145 naira officials pump price.
The exercise took place yesterday in Birnin Kebbi with the team of some selected journalists in the state.
Briefing newsmen shortly after the exercise, the team leader of the DPR and the Head of Health Safety Environment Sanusi Umar, said that the aim of the outing was to reduce the pains being experienced by Nigerians.
He said the department was there to check-mate the irregularities of the oil marketers and ensure that they meet the government directives by making the fuel available in the state.
“this is a continuous exercise, if we discover that they have returned their fuel pump prices back to N175, we will seal their stations” he added.
He commended the effort of the Federal government for fighting the course of the masses and bringing succour to the country.
