The Embassy of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) has extolled the virtues of its former leader, Kim Jong IL at his 83rd posthumous birthday celebration in Abuja.
Speaking at the occasion Tuesday, DPRK Ambassador to Nigeria, Amb. Jon Tong Chol who expressed thanked invitees for honoring the invitation on the 83rd anniversary of birthday of Comrade KIM JONG IL, described him as a great leader of the Korean people.
“Allow me, first of all, to express my deep thanks for honoring my invitation to the reception arranged on the occasion of the 83rd anniversary of birthday of Comrade KIM JONG IL, the Great Leader of the Korean people.
“The Great Leader Comrade KIM JONG IL, who was born as the son of partisan in Mt. Paek Tu, the sacred mountain of revolution, succeeded the ideology and cause of the Great Leader Comrade KIM IL SUNG.
“Thus our homeland has been turned into the paradise of people in which the Juche Idea is fully implemented and has been strengthened as the invincible military power.
“He devoted his lifetime to make the whole world independent, so that not only Korean people but also the progressive people over the world praise him as the peerless great man and celebrate his birthday grandly.
“Today, the revolutionary cause of the Great Leader Comrade KIM JONG IL is succeeded successfully by the respected Comrade KIM JONG UN, the president of the State Affairs of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea.
“He outlined the policy of the comprehensive development of socialist construction, and he is wisely leading Korean peoples’ struggle for building up the country as socialist power.
“DPRK will wage a dynamic struggle for defending the national sovereign rights on the principle of enhancing the prestige and defending the interests of the state and to positively promote the development of relations with the friendly countries that respect the dignity and interests of the Republic.
“And I sincerely wish the Nigerian people to achieve the successes in their work for peace, unity, stabilization and prosperity of the country.
“Ladies and gentlemen, on that positive note, allow me to pay the highest tribute to the Great Leader Comrade KIM IL SUNG and the Great Leader Comrade KIM JONG IL.
“And allow me to propose a toast to the good health of His Excellency Bola Ahmed Tinubu, President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, to the good health of the respected Comrade KIM JONG UN, the President of State Affairs of DPRK, to the good health of Your Excellencies, and our dear Nigerian Friends present here, thank you” he said.
Also speaking, Chairman of Nigeria-DPRK Friendship Association said, “Esteemed Your Excellency, Ambassador of DPRK Ladies and gentlemen. Allow me, first of all, to express my deep thanks for invitation to the reception arranged on the occasion of the 83rd anniversary of birthday of H.E. KIM JONG IL, the Great Leader of the Korean people.
“He advanced Juche Idea that was created by H.E. KIM IL SUNG onto the guiding idea of the independent era through his talented ideological theoretical intelligence and devoted his lifetime for the prosperity of country and the happiness of people.
“And then he strengthened the national defense capability and thus drove back the aggressive threat of the domination forces and safeguarded the peace of region and world.
“In addition, he led the progressive people over the world. along the road to independence. The exploits achieved by him will remain in the memory of the progressive people. over the world including the Nigerian people.
“Today, the friendly relations and cooperation between Nigeria and DPRK are further expanded and developed by the active concern of H.E. KIM JONG UN.
“I would like to express my determination to advance the relationship between two the countries on behalf of the Nigeria-DPRK Friendship Association.
“And allow me to propose a toast to the good health of H.E. KIM JONG UN, the President of state affairs of Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, to the good health of our dear Nigerian and Korean friends present here” he noted.
