There was mild drama when some political thugs alleged to be from Dobi ward in Gwagwalada Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) attacked two councilors of the All Progressives Congress (APC)- Mallam Yahaya Mohammed of Staff Quarters ward and Mr Mohammed Abdulkarim of Gwagwalada Central Ward as well as staff of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) assigned to the office of the Executive Chairman of the Area Council.
The incident, according to sources, occurred when the two APC councilors wanted to see the Chairman of the council, Mr Adamu Mustapha Danze.
Confirming the incident, a councilor representing staff Quarters ward, Mallam Yahaya Mohammed, said the hoodlums attacked them when they had wanted to see the council’s Chairman.
He revealed that the Personal Assistant to the Executive Chairman of the council, Mr Ibrahim Maya also prevented them from seeing the Chairman.
The Councilor, however, said the incident happened in the presence of the Chairman but he did not care to stop the hoodlums.
