Kebbi State Government has purchased two hundred and fifty tons of fertilizer to the farmers for the dry season farming in the state.
Addressing newsmen yesterday in his office, the state Commissioner of Agriculture, Barrister Attahir Maccido said that the fertilizer would be sold to the farmers at the subsidy rate.
He explained further that the Kebbi State which is leading in the agriculture input is ready to support farmers during this season, assured of his administration commitment towards promoting agriculture sector in the state.
Maccido who added that both MPK and Uria fertilizer and other farm tools would be given to the farmers at the lesser price, urge people to support this present administration towards diversify the State economy by reducing unemployed in the state.
“We are number one in the country in terms of rice production, we are blessed on agriculture input, many youth in Kebbi State have been engaged in doing one or two things,” he added.
