Eagles drop in FIFA world rankings

Date:

Super Eagles has dropped five places in this month’s FIFA rankings, dropping out of the top 40 down to 42nd in the world.

Nigeria’s drop from last month’s 37th comes after they lost and beat Sudan in their last two Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers earlier in the month.

Super Eagles interim coach, Amodu Shuaibu, will now have another goal – to steer Nigeria back up to the rankings the African Champions deserve.

World Champions, Germany, have maintained the top spot in the world, with Argentina and Colombia in second and third place respectively.
