To ensure peace and order during the holy week preparatory to Easter Sunday, the FCT Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), has made massive deployment across the nook and crannies of the Territory.

Making this disclosure, the commandant of the NSCDC, FCT command, Mathias Ohieme, noted that the mass deployment of officers and men was not unconnected to pockets of volence noticed across the FCT.

Ohieme, in a statement from the public relations unit of the Command yesterday, assured that personnel of the corps are combat ready to contend with  any one who is planning to format trouble during this period.

He opined that the tradition of the Corps to maintain law and order in the FCT and it’s environs during and after festival period, which the corps will not relent in her effort to achieve.

According to him, the President’s  order of taking out bandit and their sponsors was paramount on the agenda of the corps to ensure that the most desired security will be experienced not just in the FCT but across the country.

Furthermore, the Commandant enjoined residents of the nation’s capital city and it’s environs to celebrate Easter without any fear, but to report to the nearest security office any crime or perceived crime  for prompt response.
