The people of Ebwa Community in lapai local government area of Niger state have called on the Governor of the state, Dr. Mua’azu Babangida  Aliyu to as a matter of urgency  recruit teachers at Ebwa primary school this year, so as to enable the children to have access to quality education in the area.

The spokesman of the community, Alhaji Ibrahim Tauheed who was a retired comptroller of customs made this call while addressing the youths during the annual meeting in the community on Sunday, noted that the Niger state government had neglected the Ebwa primary school in the area of recruitment of teachers for so long now.

Tauheed appealed to the chairman of lapai local government, Hon. Isah Saidu Baka to work out modalities on how to transfer some teachers to the community.

He said that he would not relent in his effort to relate with the authorities of lapai local government to arrest the pending issues affecting the community.

He disclosed that already the community had instructed those applicants who have NCE/Diploma certificates to impact the knowledge on the pupils pending when the government recruits teachers in the school.

The retired comptroller of customs, however, advised the people of the community to send their children to school to enable them occupy important positions tomorrow.
