A former national Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Chief John Odigie-Oyegun has paid tribute to Edo State governor, Godwin Obaseki for overriding the interest of a meddlesome godfather in the election of State House of Assembly leadership.
Odigie-Oyegun in a press release which was signed by Chief Ray Morphy, assured that with the inauguration and election of a Speaker, the Edo State House of Assembly is poised to render services to the yearning people of the State.
He congratulated the newly elected Speaker of Edo state House of Assembly, Mr. Frank Okiye and wondered why why some former governors are bent on indirect rule which had been abolished when their own tenures in office are clearly over.
