There appear to be no end in sight in the lingering cult related war in some parts of Edo state which began over two weeks ago.
At least 35 persons have been feared killed, according to report obtained from central hospital morgue in Benin City on Wednesday.
While Edo state police command has confirmed at least seven deaths since two rival groups were locked in a circle of revenge.
But a staff of the morgue who pleaded anonymity however contradicted the posture of the police, saying the figure is more than tripled.
“My brother, we are tired. As at the last count, it was 35. The last one that was brought to this morgue was so bad that his skull was opened into two parts’’, I could not eat when I got home, he said.
