A Benin-based woman on Tuesday morning lost her life in a road crash which occurred on Benin Lagos by Okhoro junction in Egor Local Government Area of Edo State.
Three male adult and one female adult were said to have been involved in the accident while one other sustained injuries.
A witness who identified himself as Mr Odion, said the articulated truck driver which was coming from Ugbowo Lagos road in Benin, had a break failure, before ramming into an Audi 80 car conveying the injured victims and the late woman to unknown destination.
The Edo State Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps, Anthony Oko gave the registration number of the truck driver as number AKD 53XP while the marked was marked AT681BKA.
Oko attributed the accident to dangerous driving.
He said the injured one was taken to evangel hospital while the dead was taken to University Teaching Hospital’s morgue.
According to him, four people were involved in the accident, three male adult and one female adult, adding that one died on the spot while one other sustained injuries.
