By Doyin Ojosipe

The All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for Obokun House of Assembly seat in the State of Osun, Olatunbosun Oyintiloye has urged Nigerians to reflect on the past and effect the necessary change in the 2015 general elections.

In his New Year message, Oyintiloye said bad situation of the country under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)-led Federal Government called for serious concern that everyone must rise up against through their votes in the New Year.

He noted that President Goodluck Jonathan and the PDP-led government were responsible for the country’s woes.

Oyintiloye pointed out that Nigerians have the responsibilities of taking their destiny into their hands and change the situation.

“Nigeria is in trouble that the PDP-led government brought on us because of leadership incompetence, selfishness and corruption”

“Apart from states like Osun and few others, hardly could the people sleep with their two eyes closed because of insecurity and the Federal Government has failed to tackle it headlong.

“The 2014 and even the preceding years have been challenging years in terms of insecurity and economic collapse and it is our responsibility to determine our fate on whether we want to continue to be in trouble or we want to get out of it”, he said.

Oyintiloye who solicited the support of the people of Obokun for his aspiration said he would ensure that his constituents are given good representation in the next legislative session.

Noting that the constituency comprises of agrarian communities that need more presence of the government, he said he would work harder to facilitate more development into the area.

Reflecting on the developmental stride of Aregbesola administration within the last four years, he said there is the need to elect legislators from APC that would work with him to succeed and bring more development to the state.

He then urged those who have not collected their voters’ cards to do so, saying, it is the power they have to effect the required changes.
