A Kaduna state gubernatorial aspirant on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Mohammed Sani Sidi, has urged Muslims in the State to imbibe the spirit of sacrifice as exemplified by the Holy Prophet Ibrahim (AS) when he intended to sacrifice his son Ismail in nobedience to the Will of Allah.
In a goodwill message to Muslims on the occasion of Eid-el-Kabir celebration, Sani Sidi called on Muslims to continue to make sacrifices towards the security, peace, unity and development of Kaduna State and Nigeria.
He said “As we celebrate this year’s Eid-el-Kabir, let us use the period to reflect on the need to live in peace with adherents of other religions in our dear state. We must be ready to make sacrifices for the sake of peace and unity as exemplified by the Prophet Ibrahim (AS) and in accordance with the teachings of our Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).”
Sani Sidi said Muslims should use the Sallah period to extend hands of friendship and love to followers of other religions in the state for the sake of building lasting peace and unity of Kaduna State.
The Gubernatorial Hopeful then prayed for a successful Hajj exercise and the safe return of Nigerian pilgrims; “I want to use this medium to pray for the success of this year’s Hajj exercise and a safe return of our pilgrims to Nigeria” Sani Sidi said.
On this auspicious occasion, Mohammed Sani Sidi wishes all Muslims a peaceful and hitch free Eid-el-Kabir celebrations.
Similarly the president of Council of Oba in the 19 Northern states and Abuja Ambassador Muhammad Arigbagbowo has called on Muslim faithfuls to pray for the success of President Muhammad Buhari as he strived to put the country back on the right place.
The Monarch also called for prayer for the troops fighting to restore peace and security in the country.
