The Embassy of the State of Kuwaiti during the Ed-il- Kabir celebration put smile on the faces of some Nigerians when it shared food, beaf and other gift items in 14 states of the federation.
It would be recalled that the State also shared food stuffs during the last Ramadan fast, a gesture they are used to carrying out over the years.
Disclosing this yesterday in Abuja, the Ambassador of the State to Nigeria, His Excellency Abdulaziz Albisher, said the gesture was to implement “Eid Al-Adha Project,” being financed by Zakat House of Kuwait for thus year.
He further disclosed that effort was a collaboration between Mabarra Association of Imams and Preachers.
He listed some the benefitting states to include Kano, Jigawa, Abuja, Kaduna, Niger, Zamfara, Oyo, Katisna.
He specifically mentioned that internally displaced people (IDPs) in camps in Katsina state were among the beneficiaries.
He further disclosed that a total of 1, 960 persons benefited in all.
