The Kaduna State Police Command yesterday said it has deployed more than 12,000 personnel to protect lives and property in the state during the Eid-el-Fitr (Sallah) celebration.
The Commissioner of Police, CP Musa Yusuf Garba disclosed this while addressing newsmen in Kaduna.
The CP said he had directed proactive measures and assured of adequate security deployment for peaceful celebration.
“ The command warned miscreants, parents and guardians to ensure a firm grip of their wards, as the police and other security agencies would not tolerate any act of thuggery and youth disorder during and after the festive period, adding that anyone found causing trouble would face the Consequences
Similarly, the Command has arrested one Ibrahim Isa alias yellow for criminal conspiracy, kidnapping and culpable homicide, after he allegedly killed his abducted victim despite collecting One Hundred and Twenty Thousand Naira from the family as ransom.
The Command Police Public Relations Officer DSP Mohammed Jalige disclosed this while parading some suspects at the Command Headquarter in Kaduna yesterday
DSP Jalige said on 30th March, 2023, one Ismail Mohammed of Maijere Village Saminaka came to the Divisional Police Headquarters at Saminaka and reported that on the 4th March, 2023 at about 1000 hours, the suspect, Ibrahim Isa alias yellow conspired with one Mai-kunu now at large, kidnapped his brother Kabiru Mohammed of same address.
The PPRO added that the two suspects demanded Five Million Naira ransom, and after collecting the sum of One Hundred and Twenty Thousand Naira from the family, they went ahead and killed the victim.
