Eko Electricity Distribution Company (EKEDC) management has apologised to customers in different parts of Lagos states for the recent power outages.
The company acknowledged the inconvenience and frustration caused by these interruptions, which are due to a critical upgrade of its IT systems.
In a statement said EKEDC is in the process of implementing a new, state-of-the-art enterprise system designed to enhance customer management of electricity consumption. This advanced system aims to provide greater convenience, transparency, and control over electricity usage, both at home and remotely via mobile devices.
“Despite efforts to minimize disruptions, the complexity of the upgrade has led to technical difficulties and outages, affecting both residential and business customers. EKEDC’s management and technical teams are working diligently to resolve these issues and restore full functionality to the vending platform as swiftly as possible.”
The company is committed to keeping customers informed about the progress of the upgrade through regular updates on its website, social media channels, and customer service centers. EKEDC expressed gratitude for customers’ patience and understanding during this period and assured them that the new system will offer enhanced value and convenience.
Customers with questions or concerns are encouraged to contact EKEDC’s customer service representatives via their 24/7 helpline or visit the company’s website for more information.
