Ekiti guber candidate makes case for public private partnership

Date:

Mr Adeniyi Phillips, the candidate of the United Democratic Party (UDP) in the June 21 governorship election in Ekiti, says he will run the state through Public Private Partnership (PPP).

Phillips told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Ado-Ekiti recently that previous administrations in the state failed because they refused to partner with those who would help develop the state.

According to him, most of the industries and companies hitherto operating in the state folded up because the administrations failed to partner with the private sector.

Phillips, who promised to influence the establishment of new industries, lamented the high unemployment rate in the state.

He vowed to generate new jobs through modern agricultural practices while extending development to all nooks and crannies of the state.
