Kaduna state Governor Mallam Nasir El Rufai has called on the residents of Chikun local government area of the state to promote peaceful coexistence and sustain the present harmony been enjoyed in the area.
He stated this during a tour of the local government area in continuation of his tour to the 23 local government areas of the state.
The Governor who was received by crowd of supporters at the local Government Secretariat disclosed that no development can be achieved in the atmosphere of rancour.
He also assured the stakeholders of his government commitment to the provision of critical infrastructure for speedy development of all sectors in the state, saying the All Progressives Congress Party came into office to effect changes that will have positive effect on the people.
He further said all ongoing projects in the area will be completed by his government while new ones will be initiated.
In her remark, the Chairman of the Local Government Area, Hajia Hadiza Yahuza acknowledged Governor El Rufai’s intervention in education and primary health care in the area.
She said some schools have been rehabilitated by the council through the state government intervention.
