Ahead of the Election Petition Tribunal judgment, which has been reserved so far, thousands of supporters of Kwankwasiyya Movement have conducted special prayers for the success of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf at the tribunal.
The special prayer was conducted at six different spots, including Katsina road, Gwarzo road Madobi Road/Sharada, Zaria road, Maiduguri road and Hadejia road.
As the Tribunal set to deliver Judgement in the Governorship Elections dispute, Kwankwasiyya supporters offered the prayer to seek divine intervention in the outcome of the judgment.
The prayers, attended by supporters of the NNPP including men, women and youths, were also attended by top state government officials, politicians as well as well wishers.
Speaking at Zaria, which was one of the prayers venue, the State Chairperson of the NNPP Women Group, Hajia Zuwaira Abubakar said the prayers were organised against all those working against the victory of Governor Yusuf at the tribunal.
“The prayers were organised to seek for Allah’s intervention against all those who are working against the success of the Governor in the tribunal,” she said.
Recall that this is second time such prayers were being conducted by Kwankwasiyya supporters in the ancient city.
