Hydro Power Producing Areas Development Commission (HYPPADEC) has assured sustained training and retraining of its workforce to ensure prudence, transparency, accountability and optimal productivity in service delivery.
The Director General of the Commission, Alhaji Abubakar Sadiq Yelwa gave the assurance at a training workshop on Fiscal Due Process in partnership with the Independent Corrupt Practices and Related Offences Commission held in Minna.
Yelwa noted that about 90 of the senior management staff are participating in the training with the theme; Promoting Ethics, Compliance and Integrity in Public Service was aimed at enhancing effective and efficient service delivery.
He explained that the workshop offered by Ahmadu Bello University Consultancy Services limited will give an opportunity to achieve performance evaluation and to be law abiding in planning and execution of the commission’s mandates.
Similarly, Coordinator, Aliyu Dalha Kankia of the ABU Zaria while giving an overview of the workshop, applauded the commission for organizing the training which he said would go a long way in updating their knowledge and help them while trying to carry out their duties.
Earlier, the HYPPADEC Director Finance and Administration, Haruna Jimoh, in his welcome address said that the Commission is committed to ensure human resources development for optimal results.
