The Emir of Yauri, Dr. Muhammad Zaiyyanu Abdhllahi [CON. FNSM] has awarded three district heads for promoting peace and stability as well as development in their domain.
Presenting the award at Yauri weekend to the three district heads, His royal highness said that the three winners were able to promote peace and harmony as well as bring development to their areas.
‘’I commended the committee for doing justice in selecting those that were had working and honest to his emirate, urge them to work had as more would reach their areas’’ he added.
The emirate which was among the four emirate council in the state has fifteen district heads while the three winner of the award were, the district head of Kambuwa, Alhaji Adamu Jbirl from Ngaski local government council won first position with N300,000 while the district head of Gungu, Alhaji Dayyabu Yusfu Abdulahi from Yauri Local government area took second with two hundred thousand naira and the district head of Shanga Alhaji Alhaji Nasiru Jafaru Abdulhai later came 3rd from shanga local government and got one hundred thousand naira respectively.
Speaking earlier the acting governor, Alhaji Ibrhaim K. Aliyu thanked the emir for restoring peace in the area, assured them of government support and cooperation toward promoting peace and unity in the areas and the state at large.
The deputy governor who witnessed the occasion urged other emirate to emulate the same gesture as it is a way of bring peace and united people.
The emir also urged the other district heads to work hard for them to also win the same award, affirming that this development is going to be an annual event.
