The chairman of the caretaker committee of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Mai Mala Buni, who is also the Governor of Yobe State, has said the ongoing protest against police brutality has an interior motive.
Governor Buni made the remark during an interview on BBC Hausa Service, during which he warned that the ongoing protest may lead to anarchy. He lamented that hoodlums are using the protest to terrorize Nigerians.
According to him, “Hoodlums can utilize the gathering to cause confusion and terrorize other innocent citizens. The ongoing protests show that there are hidden agenda, after the government has responded to the protesters’ demand.
“Nigeria is a country accommodating people with several motives and demands which include restructuring and disintegration, thus, we should be careful.”
