The ancient city of Okene in Kogi State and Jalingo, Taraba State, were thrown into spiritual fervour last week as Senior Pastor of Dunamis International Gospel Centre, Dr Paul Enenche, and his wife, Dr Mrs Becky Enenche, held a week-long crusade.
The outreach, themed “The God of Mercy”, began in Okene on April 14 and ended on April 18, drawing massive crowds and sparking excitement across both cities.
Residents witnessed what organisers described as “a deluge of miracles, signs, wonders and healings,” alongside intense worship sessions that kept participants engaged throughout the programme.
Beyond the spiritual activities, the clerics also carried out extensive medical and welfare interventions.
In Okene, no fewer than 1,651 persons received medical attention, with 305 dental cases handled, 202 chest X-rays conducted and two tooth extraction surgeries successfully carried out. Three emergency cases were also treated and discharged.
Similarly, in Jalingo, over 4,112 persons benefited from free medical services, including five emergency cases. Medical teams also carried out 265 dental scaling and polishing procedures and four tooth extractions.
A major highlight of the Jalingo crusade was the safe delivery of a baby boy at the programme ground.
“A woman went into labour and was attended to by our medical team. She delivered safely without complications,” a member of the medical team said.
Relief materials, including food items and clothing, were also distributed to the large crowd that thronged the venues.
Organisers noted that no offering was collected throughout the crusade, in line with the ministry’s principles.
Dignitaries, including the wife of the Taraba State Governor, Mrs Kefas, attended the event on behalf of the state government.
The programme rounded off with a campus revival at Taraba State University, where participants reported transformed lives and renewed faith.
