Ex-power minister’s sister, twins kidnapped in Ibadan
The younger sister of immediate former Minister of Power, Bayo Adelabu, has been kidnapped on Wednesday morning in Ibadan, the Oyo state capital.
The sister was kidnapped along with her twin children, Peter and Paul, in the Challenge area of Ibadan South West Local Government ArArte.
A media aide of the former minister, Femi Awogboro, confirmed the incident.
He said, “Adelabu’s younger sister, together with her twin (Peter and Paul), were kidnapped this morning (Wednesday) by unknown gunmen at Elewura, Challenge, Ibadan.
“The family members were going out this morning from Elewura to link the express when they were attacked and whisked away by the unknown kidnappers.”
When contacted on the issue, the Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Olayinka Ayanlade, said he has not been briefed on the incident. “I can not independently verify this for now, but please hold on.”
