Ex Reps member says NDA attack scandalous, disgraceful

A former member of the House of Representatives from Plateau State, Hon. Bitrus Kaze, has said the recent attack on the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) as an unfortunate descend to an all new low of Nigeria under a supposed Nigerian war veteran.
Reacting to the invasion of the Nigeria Defence Academy, Kaduna, on Tuesday, he said “Clearly Nigeria has never seen any deterioration and collapse of our security architecture like is happening under the Gen. Buhari/APC civilian junta.”
According to him, “The security breach in the Afaka campus of the NDA, Nigeria’s premier defense institution is to say the least scandalous, very disgraceful and pathetic.”
Kaze, who represented Jos South/Jos East Federal Constituency between 2007 to 2015, maintained that, “If the security of our elite military will be so recklessly violated by a ragtag army of the now famous ‘unknown gunmen’, it should be crystal clear what risks we the bloody civilians bear, but for the mercies of God, we are existing by mere trial and error.
“Since the hunter became the hunted following the sordid events of the early hours of last Tuesday, in Afaka Kaduna State, Nigerians have been waiting in vain for the source of the usual ‘we are on top of the situation’ public statement from the establishment.
“From pursuing the nothernization agenda, to fulanization, the PMB/APC civilian dictatorship have just upped their game, the drive towards the Afghanistanization of Nigeria has just begun.”
The former lawmaker however said, “To merely condemn as always no longer makes sense, what happened to the $1 billion security investment, the first Nigerian military drone and the much celebrated Tucano aircrafts?
“I join fellow patriots to sympathize with the families, relations and friends of all the victims of this dastardly act and pray for the repose of their souls”.
Speaking also, Comrade Japhet La’abes, a civil society activist, in his reaction said, “The insecurity we are faced with in Nigeria is state sponsored. It is a deliberate attempt by the Hausa/Fulani oligarchy to annihilate the indigenous people of Nigeria and take over their ancestral lands.”
La’abes maintained that, “The actions and inactions of the APC-led Buhari administration are clear enough for every discerning mind. And until men and women of good conscience rise up against these barbaric Fulani irredentists and jihadists, the worst is yet to come. The victory of good over evil is sure.
“Until then, Nigerians must be proactive enough to confront the evil machinations of these senseless killers.
“In the face of these obvious and existential threats to lives and property, every community needs to take proactive measures in defence of their land, and community members for obvious reasons.”
According to him, “What transpired in Afghanistan recently is a clear early warning signal to the Nigerian people. A stitch in time saves nine!”.
Also speaking, an Executive Director with the Civil Liberties Organisation, Steve Aluko, said, “It is regrettable and condemnable, but speaks bountifully of what we are as a supposed sovereign nation.
“It is unfortunate for a nation called and celebrated as a giant of Africa and to a larger extent it resoundingly sparks off the vulnerability of our people.”
According to him, “Excuses given by the military only condescend and affirm celebrations of unsanctioned negligence, decay and rots in the security agencies and weak capacity to act whenever the need arises.”
On the part of the terrorist, Aluko said, “it is an attempt to demystify the military mights, discourage and disarticulate them in frontal fight against terrorism.
“It is also meant to dislocate the mindset of the civilians in joint efforts to help in combating the ill wind of criminalities.
“The profile of the victims dictates a pretence to selective killing and furtherance of a perceived agenda of selected identity.
“In all it affirms that Nigerians should unite collectively to defeat all forms of criminality and terrorism amidst us all for us to achieve these we must burry all forms of shades of crisis of identities in religion, ethnicity and regions to win this war”, he maintained.
“We call for immediate investigation to stop a repeat of these incidents.
“Above all, Nigerians must be protected and defended wherever they choose to reside in Nigeria, and all over the world.
“While we demand for accountability and sanction those that are found culpable and negligent in the course of their duty.”
