The minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Barr. Nyesom Wike has declared that there is going to be manifestation of massive infrastructure turnaround of the FCT, by next year, 2026, when the nation’s capital will be 50 years old.
Wike noted that God has blessed Abuja through President Bola Tinubu, and next year will be a different year altogether as there will be something nobody has seen since FCT was created.
He added that everything is for the interest of the people, residents, and for economic activities to thrive in Abuja.
The minister spoke yesterday, while flagging off the construction of Collector Road CN2 (Emmanuel I. Ogala Street) from Arterial N16 (Yemi Osinbajo way) to N20 (Wole Soyinka way) including road ILS 5, within Katampe District, Abuja.
He said when completed, and the road project will be one of the projects to be inaugurated in the third year anniversary of President Tinubu.
According to him: “I also believe that the residents here and community members will give the company the support for them to be able to achieve this within the record time.
“It is one of the projects we have embarked for Mr. President his third year anniversary, and I know they will not fail us.
“Apart from this, they are doing the water in Karu, Karshi, Orozo, and of course Bwari. They are also doing the dualization of the OSEX. That takes about eight lanes, four to five kilometers, going to Apo-Wassa.
“So, Abuja people, God has blessed us through Mr. President, that next year will be a different year altogether. That we will really see the massive infrastructure turnaround of the FCT. Something nobody has seen since FCT was created, which will be 50 years by February 2026.”
The minister however, opines: “There will be so sabotage, just to distract us and weaken us. But I can assure you, I and my team, we are very determined. We must achieve it.
“Once you are alive, there will be a fight. It’s only the dead that don’t fight. The living will always fight. People will come and fight you, you will also fight back.”
