Nigeria’s declining educational standard can be reversed for the betterment of posterity once enough funding and quality teachers with passion for teaching are recruited into schools.
Chairman, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Deo-gratias Group of Schools, Professor Geoge Odabi stated this during an interaction with newsmen in Abuja.
He said education is more than reading and writing.
Professor Odabi pointed out that education which is the bedrock of every civilized nation should always be given adequate priority by government.
Speaking, shortly after his school’s graduation ceremony in Abuja, Professor Odabi disclosed that Deo-gratias was established in 1970 with the vision of providing qualitative education to students.
He said, “ government should borrow a leaf from us because quality education is our watch word here, we believe that education is the best legacy we can bequeath on children and by doing that posterity is guaranteed.”
He had earlier commended parents for taking extra steps to ensure a secure, better future for their wards through a qualitative education provided by Deo-gratias, assuring all graduating students from his school of brighter future as long as they continue to consolidate on the foundation they had received.
Answering questions on where he hopes to place the school in future,
he said” I want to see our school multiply until it becomes a conglomerate like the Coca-cola in the world”.
To achieve the above, CEO Deo-gratias revealed, “they intend to partner with major big time learning institutions across the world.”
