FAAN braces up for passengers increase ahead yuletide

FAAN-logo-NigeriaThe strategy to ensure seamless and smooth travelling experience of passengers within and those coming and leaving Nigeria during the end of the year movement is been put in place by the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), the agency has disclosed.

Already, passengers have ups their travelling schedules on the online platform of domestic airlines in the country as many has began to book for flights into major airports across the country in order to avoid paying huge fare as the Christmas season draws near.

Across the three terminals in Lagos, a noticeable growth of passengers’ traffic has increased greatly while long queues at airline counters have began to build up.

General Manager, Corporate Communications of FAAN, Mr Yakubu Dati said the agency has put everything in place to ensure that passengers travelling across the various airports do not have any difficulties at the airports.

Dati pointed out that security measures and other necessary logistics to facilitate smooth and enjoyable travel experience was already in place to withstand the huge traffic at this period of time.

He said ” We know that at a time like this, we usually have an increase in passengers’ traffic because of the festive season that is around the corner, so we have put all the necessary measures and logistics in place to facilitate a seamless travel experience to all passengers using the various airports in the country’’

He advice passengers arrive the airport early to catch up with their flights and caution that situations where passengers fails to meet up at the check-in counter, such passenger would not be allowed to travel at that point in time.
