Following the invasion of Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), at Kaduna airport and kidnapping of two airport workers and nine others, over the weekend,security has been strengthened across airports and its staff quarters in the northern part of the country.
FAAN Managing Director, Captain Rabiu Yadudu stated this in a statement made available to media in kaduna yesterday.
Captain Yadudu said they have been communicating and working with the security agencies and the State Government and have gathered some Information that would assist them handle the matter.
According to him, a risk assessment of a similar attacks on its staff last year was gathered from their investigation and helped them to come up with a robust strategy to counter such challenges.
