As a mark of respect and honor to the fallen heroes and gallant members of the Nigeria Military, the Adamawa state government has celebrated the 2025 Armed Forces Rememberance day in grand style.

Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri led special dignitaries in laying of wreaths in honor of the Nation’s fallen heroes for sacrificing their lives for to have peace and tranquility in the country.

Others that laid the wreaths included Speaker State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Bathiya Wesley, State Chief Judge, Justice Hafsat Abdurrahman, Lamido Adamawa Doctor Muhammadu Barkindo Aliyu Mustapha and service commanders among others.

Governor Umaru Fintiri had on arrival at the venue of the event inspected a guard of honor mounted by personnel of the Nigeria Armed Forces in commemoration of the day celebrated across the country.

Fintiri urged Nigerians to continue to pray and support the country and widows of the fallen heroes who sacrificed their lives for the nation.

He commended the officers and men of the Armed Forces for their sacrifices in protecting the country’s territorial integrity.

While decrying the security challenges facing the country, he called for collective efforts to address them and reiterated that peace and unity are essential for development.

Highlights of the event were offering of special prayers, observing a minute silence and firing a three gun salute in honor of the fallen heroes as well as releasing of pigeons by Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri to signify peace.
