Fashola inspects Loko-Oweto Bridge, says infrastructure will unite Nigerians

The Minister of Power, Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola has disclosed the determination and efforts of President Mohammadu Buhari’s Administration to holistically rebuild Nigeria through the provision of basic infrastructure.
He said this will make the country more united and indivisible.
Fashola in company of his Agriculture counterpart, Chief Audu Ogbeh made the disclosure yesterday while inspecting on-going construction works on the Loko-Oweto Bridge linking Benue and Nasarawa States; a contract awarded to Messrs Reynolds Construction Company (Nig.)Ltd, on 2nd November, 2011 with the sum of N51, 612,804,367.37 has a percentage completion of 90.69%. The Minister added that the bridge is expected to provide a vital link between the North, South, East and West part of the country as well as enhance the socio-political and economic activities in the country.
A statement signed by Asst, Chief Inform. Officer (ACIO),Theodore Agbagwa said that the President Muhammadu Buhari is building an unfailing foundation and a dependable fortress by addressing the problems of infrastructural deficit like the 2nd Niger Bridge, Federal Secretariat, Awka and the Loko- Oweto bridge, stressing that Nigerians should support him to actualise a country of his dream.
The Minister maintained that the construction of the Loko-Oweto Bridge will without doubt bring peace, understanding and mutual respect between the traditional rulers and the people of Benue and Nasarawa States. He commended Reynolds Construction Company (RCC} (Nig.) Ltd and the Federal Controller of works, Nasarawa State, Engr. Taiwo Wasiu Adetayo for adhering to job specification and standard.
Earlier, the Traditional Rulers of Nasarawa Local Government Area, in Nasarawa State,Alhaji Abubakar Ahmed Sabo (Mai Loko), and his counterpart in Benue, Chief Godwin Onah (Ada Agatu) expressed their immeasurable gratitude to President Muhammadu Buhari’s Administration for coming to their aid by constructing the bridge and said the construction of the bridge provided employment to the youths in the communities .
