Fayemi urges electorate to resist rigging, ballot snatching in Ekiti election

Ekiti state governor, Kayode Fayemi yesterday in Isan-Ekiti said that his party would resist any attempt to rig the forthcoming governorship election in the state.

Fayemi was on campaign tour of Isan-Ekiti, Oye-Ekiti, Ilafon-Ekiti, Ayede-Ekiti, Ilemeso-Ekiti, Imojo-Ekiti, Orisunmibare-Ekiti and Ayegbaju-Ekiti as part of his preparation for the June21, governorship election.

He said the party would not allow ballot snatchers to perpetrate such act on the day of the election, adding that the electorate should guard their votes jealously.

Fayemi called on members of his party in the state to be vigilant on the day of the election.

Also speaking at the occasion, the Chairman of APC in the state, Chief Jide Awe, said APC would win the election.

He expressed delight that some members of the opposition parties were defecting to APC at the campaign rally.(NAN)
