FCT 4 Months Old Strike: AOIYEO sue six area council secretaries , FCT administration

On behalf of all primary Schools Children and all primary Healthcare services workers in FCT.

The Abuja Original Inhabitants Youths Empowerment Orgànisation. (AOIYEO) has instituted legal action against the six area councils and the FCT Administration over prolonged strike that has crippled education and healthcare services in FCT, as primary school and primary health care workers are on indefinite strike for over 4 months over nonpayment of their minimum wage and other entitlement.

The president AOIYEO , Comrade Issac David told Journalists recently in Àbuja that the legal action became necessary for the Orgànisation considering how every bid to settle this workers issue has not bring any positive results.

“That the Primary School Children (Pupils) who are FCT OIs and Residents of the Six Area Councils in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja are entitled to the Right to Education as the Bedrock or Fulcrum of their lives, present and future.

asking the court to direct the six Area Councils to assume their Constitutional duty to make provisions for payment of workers for the development of Education in the Six Area Councils of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja and to ensure the Primary School Children who are (pupils) in the Schools attain to their Educational aspirations forthwith.

FCT is the only territory in the Federal Republic of Nigeria, that primary schools to be on Strike for 4 months without Children going to schools is Evil.

FCT Ministers and Area Council chairmen have killed our Children future and young generations. All we are asking for justice and equal right and freedom.
